I've been patiently waiting for Jason to build me a new website. You can all see how well that's going! In the meanwhile, I've upgraded my Dell to a macbook, and it's so cool! I'm still learning to navigate it though.

It's Mardi Gras now, so everything is crazy. Also, midterms are coming in the next 2 weeks. Jason built me a headboard and footboard last week, so I am painting them and will have them finished when he gets back from his impromptu road trip.

I went to the House of Blues last night for the OffBeat Awards. Tons of fun. I've spent today in the house, painting various things and wearing my bathrobe. Oh, how I love my bathrobe!

Over the weekend I had a swinging party at my house; it was fun but insane! I am taking a sculpture class in school this semester. Hopefully this semester I will be able to get more art done. We shall see.

I went to an opening at the CAC last night, then to Markey's, and it was a blast. UNO starts on Tuesday, and I am having a party on Friday. Hey all you guys I met last night, call me and send me love letters because I'm needy.

I have two gallery receptions to go to this weekend, and the one on Saturday has two of my unposted drawings. I will post those drawings as soon as I finish them! My new roommate is moving in on Monday, and I have a friend from school coming to stay with me over the weekend, so I'm hoping to have him help me with some projects. Whoo hoo hoo!

I'm working on remodeling the art section. I am also working on a watercolor portrait. I have so much schoolwork over the next 5 weeks! Last month my doctor found a lump in my breast that turned out to be nothing, but with all the breast cancer issues going around this month I'm realizing how much it scared me. I have beaucoup drawings of little girls that I mean to paint soon.

How cool is this? FileZilla is working again! Now I can add some crafts, but my camera is in the shop, so I can only add what's already on my computer. I have moved, switched jobs, and am about to start school again. I went to three movies in the past three days. Whoohoo! I am wild about sewing, and have already started making XMas presents.

I have every intention of adding some pictures and other things I've made. I think that I will make a CRAFT section, because that is the majority of what I'm doing nowadays. I still haven't painted any pictures, but I think I will soon. My sewing pile is too big to start a new project.
Four days until my birthday. I'm going to Pheonicia tomorrow for gyros and labneh, and I will have a yellow-iced cake on Monday.

Well, so now I have a domain name, and it's time to start promoting myself. I shall print new business cards soon and put my brand name (!) on everything. I think I'll need a logo.
Tonight my new friend Amanda and I went to the Saturn Bar for a reading of How Do You Miss New Orleans and then to Houston's for dinner. We had a very lovely time. I'm having a very nice time at school. I will be running the shifts tomorrow night at work. AND Bob Dylan and Paul Simon will be at Jazz Fest this year! I am so excited about seeing these two guys. John Lennon may be dead, but Juli still gets to rock!
The scanner is very shady, but I am hoping to get a digital camera for my birthday. Maybe I will make art and upload it then.

So after a tremendous leave of absence I am returned! I'm working on getting my domain name up, madebyjuli.com.
I am back at school at UNO, and I am selling furniture and goods at a store in Clearview Mall. I got promoted to assistant manager at work, which is fun. I am making a few friends, more than I've had in about two years. Oh la la. Also, I have purchased several pairs of shoes that are simply smashing.
I will post pictures of my goods, but I have no new paintings! I just can't take out my watercolors yet. However, I'm bonding with my acrylics in a totally new way.

I'm staying at the Hilton Homewood Suites in Memphis. I bought some boots yesterday. I'm very scared, but there's nothing I can do. I hope my mom's house is OK, and I hope my apartment is OK. I hope everyone's place is OK, but I know it won't be. Eh...

I had some problems with my FTP and therefore lost my update log, and the last time I saved it was in Feb. I've had an awful day. I was in a tent today for work and it blew over. My ankle is killing me.

OK, so there's a new layout. This is not LSU colors. It turns out that dorkiness is like herpes: you think it's gone away, but actually it was just sleeping.

UNo has started again. I had some nice reviews of my portfolio. I won $250 in the Cox Black History Art Contest, so that's good. I've ordered the prettiest shoes ever. I fixed up the abstract art. Boy, was that a mess. 3d art will be going up whenever I feel like it... Me mum went to Seattle for the week. Killer.

Well, the computer got a virus so I'm kinda starting over from scratch. I praise myself a million times for recently backing up all my files in CDs. Now I'm just missing my favorites list, but I never really did anything with it anyway, so am I really missing it?

Scanner's still broken. I added more art links and (as you can see on the right) an ad for an online roommate. The siren painting is finished and I have a few childish ideas for watercolors. I ordered some jelly shoes from delia's and I'm really excited. I know IT'S ONLY LOVE AND THAT IS ALL, but what can I do? They're jelly shoes, for christ's sake!

Well, I have a couple of pictures I'm ready to upload but my scanner's not working. I was terribly sick on Friday and Saturday, but today I made a lovely Cinderlla picture since I have no friends. I think I'm mad at everyone, but one person in particular. I have one final on Wednesday and I can't understand why I go to school.
On the very bright side, I've got a 4.0 at UNO. I'm so terribly proud of myself I can't stand it.
I can't believe I started college at 16 and I have a 4.0. I kick so much butt baby! And I have a 4.0 in high school. I could go to college anywhere I wanted but I'm going to art school. I'm actually making a decision to throw intelligence away and it's awsome. I need to go celebrate.

It's been a very interesting two weeks, but no art. I'm playing with an Allerleirauh sketch, but I don't think she should wear her coat in the kitchen. Quite a quandry, and that's not the worst of them. It's good to be alive.

Well I'm back from my workshop and I've got four boring paintings to upload. I feel bad for one of them because no one likes it, myself included. Poor little ugly tree... I have so much homework to do but UNO.edu is DOWN, and so I can't access the assignments. Poo. I'll tell you what though, school and 16 suck, but both of those problems are going away. Party tomorrow; yay.
I don't know if I should keep the rydia account. I certainly like it better than geocities, but what I really need is business. I get moody when business is slow. C'mon everyone, BUY! Who wouldn't like a Juli original in their house? AH, whatever... God I'm whiny.

I finally brought home my portfolio from school and have uploaded all the pictures I like. I'm currently working on another commissioned portrait which should be finished in the next few days. Tomorrow is Christmas... I'm starting part time at UNO in January. I have classes two days a week, which means that three days a week I'll be at home doing art. Instead of getting a job, I'll be selling purses. We'll see how well that goes.

Well..... I've got a terrible case of Beatlemania. It all started when a friend let me borrow Help!, the second movie. Since then it's just been a downward spiral. Reading In His Own Write by the Writing Beatle (John, the cute one) hasn't helped either. So I'm SAD because John's never coming back. And while I guess it's for the best (the whole zombie thing is a total turnoff) it still sucks.
School's almost over. Yippee. I start UNO next semester, which will be fun. In the meantime, I'm busy making purses and finishing some paintings in time for XMas. Fun, but right now I'm still missing John. And, of course, I don't want to talk about Yoko. So let it drop.

Yesterday, instead of doing my homework, I watched my brand new The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers Extended Version DVD. And it was awsome. And it was definitely better than doing my homework.
Now down to business, my last day of school before Thanksgiving break is coming up. I took a Priscilla, Queen of the Desert quiz today, and it say's I'm Felicia JollyGoodFellow. My favorite! Check it out on my profile. I've been adding photos to the album (nothing new in the gallery, I'm afraid). I've got a lot of work to do over the next week, but I'm going to try to work on the site.
