Instant Karma Hurricane Pictures

Yesterday (17 Sept.) I went to my apartment at the UNO Lakefront. Security was tight, but my dad had an Entergy pass. My mom took most of these pictures, which is why they are blurry.

1500 people were staying in Kirshman Hall as a center. The authorities broke into every apartment to check for bodies, which is fine. In the next 10 days, someone from Kirshman Hall went through the apartments. I didn't really look into any other units, but my place was totally ransacked. My clothing in my dresser would have been OK, but the looters threw it on the wet carpet, ruining some of my things. Clothes were thrown around my room. Even my dirty laundry had been gone through and was on the floor. Draws were pulled open. I haven't noticed anything missing, because I didn't leave any money or nice jewelry there.

At least 13 pairs of shoes are ruined from mold. Four of my paintings are just ruined. More pictures to come when they can.

Tree down, by Kirshman Hall (the new building) and the Alumni Center.

Walking towards my building, 11.

This means that there were no bodies in the building.

My moldy ceiling

My moldy walls. Amazingly, the windows didn't break.

My closet. See the clothes thrown on the floor?

The kitchen area.

Me cleaning, trying to collect some shoes. I was crying the whole time.

I painted that table. When the place was ransacked, the drawer was pulled out and on the floor, and there was mold under it.

My roommate's room. Her carpet, my mom says, was dry, so her clothes are OK.

Some damage to paintings, but mostly the mats.
