She's inspired by Leaves That Are Green by, of course, Simon & Garfunkel. I'm going to count how many works I've credited them with. The song is about loosing what you have and love, so while she's a forest spirit (Daphne even...) she's more like lost and found personified. Oh, that's a good idea... Reminds me of Leonardo's Virgin of the Rocks (but it might be the Madonna).

Once my heart was filled with the love of a girl.
I held her close, but she faded in the night
Like a poem I meant to write.
And the leaves that are green turn to brown...
