Time passed quickly, because they were in love, and they were happy. But one day the prince told his wife that he had to leave and fight in a war across the ocean. The princess was very upset.
"How will I know if something happens to you?" she asked him.
"Look through this orb, and you will see I am not hurt," he said, and handed her a crystal sphere.
And so every day the princess looked into her crystal and saw the prince. But one morning, when she looked, she didn't see anything.
