Our intrepid guide in Victoria: the Right. Hon. Nick Porch, who is not really a hobbit but is nonetheless very much at home out in the mossy woods (Nick's daughter Maddy takes a picture. I think she's better at it than I am, cf. "The Wallaby Series") Nick found us all kinds of awesome stuff, like a certain grass genus with the very beetles Caroline had been yearning to slaughter. If you look closely, you can see the murderous gleam in her eyes. Also procured: Live specimens of Paragyrtodes, a genus in the tribe I'm workin' on. I've been doing Agyrtodini for about 2.5 years, and this is the first time I've seen one of them alive. *snif*.

Having swiftly dispatched the agyrtodines, we continued to hunt. Seen here is a handful of tenebrionids, the most useless beetle family of all. Oddly enough, we were also treated to a veritable inundation of skinks. Like so. The Tiniest Orchid Ever.

...many thanks to Caroline for putting up with all of this nonsense. Good show!
