For some reason this picture makes me think of the Nick Cave song it's named after. It' basically an illustration for a story I read when I was little. It was about a man who meets this mysterious woman who always wears a black ribbon around her neck, and she never tells him why. So he falls in love with her, they get married, and he really wants to know why she wears the ribbon. So she takes it off and he sees that she is dead and her head has been cut off. That image of her taking off the ribbon never really left my mind.....
