Shadow of a Doubt: Chapter Two

In which a maternal immortal visits.

Welcome to the beginning of the second chapter, which will either be long or be split into two chapters that are very closely related.

Here we have Xan (you remember her from the beginning of the previous chapter, as well as some spots in the middle). We also have Kazbeel Biqa, who appeared before when Luanne's adopted family was mentioned, and she's also in the street scene of the interlude page. Kazbeel is an old demon who doesn't fully understand humanity and mortality (since she is immortal), but she loves what she doesn't understand. She's the most human friendly demon we've seen so far, and she's also the most maternal of the demon cast (including characters not yet introduced).

This and the next couple of pages look at family life, on the surface, for Luanne and Xan. Kazbeel is the most fun of the family characters, I think. Her dialogue is fun. She probably knows a wide range of human languages, but doesn't know them all very well.
