Website Information >>
Hyperweb was established on May 18, 2000. Hyperweb was inspired by hyper ballad, a Bjork song off of her Post album. All photographs, layouts, and graphics are property of Alex, unless stated otherwise. If you wish to use anything, please ask first! Don't take anything without asking, I work very hard on my photographs and graphics. If you want to contact me about this, you can either e-mail me or instant message me on AIM (anexquisitered.) Hyperweb is best viewed with 1024x768 screen resolution. Surf with Internet Explorer. Netscape is evil, and while I haven't looked at the new layout under Netscape, my old layout looked like crap on it. Layout Version 3.0 was created between January 17, 2001 and January 28, 2001. Hyperweb is link free, you can find the link free banner on the main page.
Hardware and Software >>
All photographs on Hyperweb are taken with a Kodak DC280 Digital Camera. Photographs and graphics are edited using Photoshop 5.5 and sometimes Paint Shop Pro 6. I don't use filters much, but layers are the key ingredient to most of my photographs and graphics. HTML is done by hand in Notepad. Some code from the version 2.0 that is used again, was done with Script Worx. Audio files and remixes are edited with Cool Edit 2000. Final mixing stages are done in Acid Pro. Additional loops are created by Rebirth. The few pieces of artwork that appear on the site are drawn with a mouse (no scanner !_!) and colored in Photoshop.
Behind The Camera >>
I hate this part, but oh well. ^^; My name is Alex (or to be more correct, Agustine...but you shall die of foam if you ever repeat my first name! ^^) and I'm a 19 year old male. I currently live in Illinois, in a town about an hour from Chicago. I work at an evil job, but we don't have to talk about that. It's boring. XD I love music, but is has to be quality music! ^^ My favorite artist/band is Nine Inch Nails, and when I'm not listening to them I listen to Bjork, Tori Amos, Ben Lee, Aphex Twin, TheThe, Fiona Apple, The Smashing Pumpkins, Prodigy, and Recoil. I enjoy movies, but I usually like the stranger films. I'm a big fan of Kevin Smith (Chasing Amy/Mallrats/Dogma), all the way back to when Clerks. was released. I like watching The Rocky Horror Picture Show over and over. Let's do the time warp again! Some more recent favorite films include Being John Malkovich, Titus, Fight Club, Cecil B. Demented, Dancer in the Dark, Go, and American Beauty. Ha, expected The Matrix to be in there, didn't you?
Blah, that film is 100 other films put together, but it mostly rips off the anime Ghost in the Shell. I also play video games all the time. Currently I'm in love with my Dreamcast but my Saturn also gets a good amount of play, as does my Nintendo 64. Favorites include Nights, Panzer Dragoon/Zwei/Saga, Jet Grind Radio, Xenogears, Dead or Alive 2, Virtual On, Zelda: OoT, Skies of Arcadia, Final Fantasy VII, and Shenmue. I know I'm missing quite a bit, but those were the ones that really came to mind. What does all this add up to? I think I have good taste! ^^;
Publishing History >>
This is my "2nd" adventure into a website. The first was Squall Domain, which was created in March of 1998. It started off as a small fan shrine for Squall Leonhart. What it became was not what I had expected. It grew into a huge archive of fan based items on Final Fantasy VIII. The fanart section was the largest on the net for FFVIII characters. Sadly though, it came to an end around spring of 1999. Trying to keep the site updated became more of a chore with the release of FFVIII in Japan approaching. After that I had a few offers with other pages, and helped out at Final Fantasy Omega (now Square Gamer) and Sephiroth No Oukoku. In the 3 years of web publishing, there's been other sites before Squall Domain, but the only one I think is worth mentioning is Sephiroth No Sekai. I met a lot of great people through those experiences, as I hope I will through this one.
