Foam is an expression and all around silly way of speaking. While not for everyone, foam can be entertaining for some. Don't go to a craft store and pick up some white, solid foam! Our foam is the soapy kind, produced from the prefferable Joy soap. People even have foam parties where they produce an insane amount of foam for everyone to mess around with, neat eh? ^^ >> Are you guys on crack? No, we're high on foam! :D Seriously though, most people won't get foam. The foam craze started because of a little site called A very (very) pathetic webpage. Run by Emily Gregg, the sub-domain of her site was titled foam, which a few of us crazy fans decided to adopt and use often! ^^; 01> Who is Emily Gregg? Emily Gregg ran A very (very) pathetic webpage, a fan art based website that was indeed the talk of the town. Very well known in the fan art/game community, it grew into a pretty big site. Her artwork was kawaii SD stuff and always nice to look at, especially the Doujinshi. >> Is her site still open? Sadly, no. The site was located at http://foam.simplenet.com, but was taken down sometime in 1999. It's been a while and we can't quite remember the month. If anyone knows, feel free to mail us. Emily still has her goodbye page from her old site at http://members.nbci.com/_XMCM/zetsubou/index.html. >> Where did she go? Honestly, we don't know. Obviously she had a lot of talent, but with school and other matters it seems like she couldn't keep up with the site. She's missed by a lot of people though and one day I hope we'll see a website with the Emily Gregg name on it again. 02> How does one foam? Easy, there's a ton of ways to foam. While we're not going to make you fill your house with foam and have a part, there's other ways of foaming. Most of the time we use smileys, but once in a while we will talk about foaming produce and such. ^^; >> Foam stuff! Some have a purpose, some are just to yell out and be silly. ^^; All contain foam! XD Foamtastic: The equivalent to fantastic. Foam nazi: A person who dis-likes or doesn't understand foam. Moo juice: The equivalent to any type of drink; contains traces of foam! oOo Foaming produce: Produce that foams and doesn't get sold. ^^; Another way of saying you feel crappy. Foaming livestock: ^^;; Just yell it out and confuse the hell out of people! >D >> Foam smileys! There isn't much here right now. ^^ If you have ideas for foam smileys, e-mail us. We want the foam smileys to be original and like nothing out there. oOo Foam! Use for anything foam. ~..~ The foaming bat, same as above. No real purpose, other than it's a foaming bat. ^^;; ! Foam demons, use when you're angry or when you want to wish death upon someone, just add ! at the end. `( <(^_^)> Foaming cow, the equivalent to the regular ^_^ smiley. A few very (very) pathetic webpage fans would always wait for Emily to update. Back then near the end of vvpw she hardly updated, so they were very sacred. The sub-domain was funny and we adopted it. So everything Emily and vvpw would be foam and it sorta went from there. >> Who is Alex? Alex is the maintainer of Hyperweb, an online portfolio for digital photography.
