FOAM TALK >> updated on february 3, 2001
I know I said I wouldn't make "current" a huge deal, but it's now called Foam Talk. Like most Free Talks, Foam Talk will have updates often, but it's also the home to The Official Foam FAQ. Don't expect really long Foam Talks all the time, it'll be more or less a 5 minute deal when I update. So far everything has been going well with moving the old pages to the new layout. I've been doing the easy stuff, but the portfolio is going to be very evil to complete! I must have atleast 20 different photographs/graphics to add, besides uploading the other 30 or so photographs from my old site. This is the one thing I hate about moving to a different home. ^^; Everything takes forever, but I didn't want to keep the site waiting. People might think I'm x_x.

Everything has been pretty calm with my photographs. I haven't been shooting a huge amount like I did in the summer time. I think it might be the cold, it just doesn't invite me to go out for a day, walking around outside. I have about 5 or 6 winter/christmas photos, which is a nice amount for the 3 times I've gone out this winter. On a good summer day I'd take about 80 photographs, while keeping atleast 4 or 5. I don't post them all on the site though, some I use for different reasons. Like my little flower on the other pages, that was from a fall photo...but I have yet to publish the actual photo. Maybe I'll make a section from unreleased stuff sometime in the future. ^^

Grayslake library displaySo my display at the Grayslake Library went well. I remember updating the old Hyperweb, stating I would post pics from it. ^^;; Looks like that never happened, oops. I know you'll forgive me though. XD After that, things became hectic. A lot of stress with friendships, the holiday curse, and so on. Then I got a letter from The Internation Library of Photography about my photo entry to this amateur contest. It's great news that I'm in the semi finals, 'cause I have my eye set on a $1,000 Olympus digital camera. The book Vivid Beauty is being published in will cost $90. I think a small amount of people will see my photo, due to the high retail price. There is also the possibility that just the right person will see the photo, 'cause it might be a big deal with that kind of price. In any case, I am pleased with the outcome so far. ILP also has my photograph for sale at http://www.picture.com, and for each sale I get 10% of the retail price. While I'm not sure if I should be happy about this, it's still a nice feeling if someone views my photo and wants to keep it in their home.

My friend Pacel is working on her new layout. I've seen a little bit of it and I was blown away. The art she did for the new layout is top notch stuff! I doubt I would have gotten through version 3.0 without her help, it was a long process, but with her help and input I got through it much faster. I can't wait for the new layout! ^^; Speaking of websites, I wonder what happened to Emily Gregg. It's very hard to forget her foaming website, a very very pathetic webpage, but I wonder what she's up to. She was a great artist that had fantastic layout ideas and great content. I miss the foam. !_!

Panzer Dragoon Saga case and cds! ^_^I can't tell you how long I searched high and low for a copy of Panzer Dragoon Saga for Sega Saturn. Most retailers around here don't carry any more Saturn games, but there's always the chance that a place will try to get rid of stock. I know a few people who found PDS by just walking into a toy store and finding the game on clearance last year. I searched most of the Funcolands in my area for a copy and believe me...there's a ton of Funcolands out here. I even had one guy tell me over the phone he had PDS, so I drove 62 miles to find out he had Panzer Dragoon. Bastard! -_-

My search ended in December, when I bought a copy on Ebay for $105. Believe me, it was well worth it. Panzer Dragoon Saga is my favorite game now; the other two are still amazing, but the world in Saga goes so much deeper. It's a shame only about 5,000 people in the US have this game. While the game is pretty short compared to most RPGs today, there's so much that stands out in your mind. It sets itself apart from the tired FF-type battle system, which makes it fun to actually go into battles. The game has some nice twists in the story line, some of which are very surprising. The Panzer world is so interesting and unique; Saga fills the holes that were missing from the shooters. The graphics are very nice and while most would call me crazy to praise a Sega Saturn game for it's graphics, once scene with the Old World ship from Zwei floating over the ocean is breathtaking. A must have game if you can get a hold of it.

I don't know if any one even wants to use them, but if you'd like just be sure to provide a link back through the icon or give me credit in an update or something. I'll be making more 'cause it's fun, and there isn't any place where you can get foaming wenches. >D
