Please check that your new email works before making it public!
We at Rydia.net are always actively fighting against general email abuse and spam. As a customer, we ask that you help us out by following these easy guidelines:
- Do not write down your password. Change it often, and use a mix of letters and numbers.
- Be careful which websites you enter your email address into. Many companies reserve the right to sell your information to third-party advertisers. To safe-guard yourself, remember to read the privacy policy on any site that you enter your email address into. Also take care to uncheck or check any boxes that determine when that company can contact you.
- If you are receiving legitimate spam mail, (not email from a site you previously provided with your email address) please do not reply to or use any site to remove your address from their list. This typically only validates with that spammer that the address is valid and perpetuates the spamming activity.
- If you decide to put your e-mail public on your webpage, creatively format it in a way that prevents spambots from finding it. For example: "emailnospam@domainnospam.com - please remove the nospam before emailing" or "email at domain dot com" There are also Javascript applets that do this for you. Look around or ask!
Thank you for helping us stay spam-free!
