Black as Knight

Well, there are some major plot holes that need filling before I work on this again, but here's what I have. Humans are at a sub-standard mideval age, being held there by an outside and possibly alien force. Travel is highly restricted by robots called Cleaners that rid the streets of any stragglers at night. There is a legend depicting the way to freedom from this opressive force, but the first step to starting this along is in a hidden valley beyond a days reach from any town. And no one has ever stopped a Cleaner from doing it work. Let's see, the legend will have something about a sleeping princess needing her beloved knight to save her or some such thing. There's stuff about the knight's black armor, true love and lots that I haven't thought of yet.

Enter the reluctant hero! He's actually a knight, and quite young for one, but has been hiding that fact as he travels. He's one of the few that travel between towns during the day, bringing news and more from place to place. He ends up wakeing up the princess, but since he frees her Knight first, the Knight is certain that he was the one to do it. So the Knight thinks he's the hero, the princess is falling for the hero thinking that the knight is her true love, and the hero is pulled into the whole thing. Eventually the princess will give the hero his black armor, and there will be some fun magical legend fulfillment. And that's what I have. I'm missing an ending, which is unusual for me. Lots to do!
