What runs Rydia.net?

We always have, and always will run on our own hardware, with a flexible Tier 1 multihomed network. Our servers are thoughtfully assembled and heavily optimized for speed. We always keep more resources available than we need, just in case. We run redundant backups of the Rydia machines, both off-site and on-site, to protect the information our members entrust to us. Our facility is top-notch, with many multi-gigabit network feeds.

With the availability of space and bandwidth, we will always be able to grow with your website. Aiming to be the next big webcomic or world famous artist online? Bring it on :)

Who runs Rydia.net?

Rydia Net started as a hobbyist's project in 1999. Dormando found a niche market, and since then Rydia has been growing steadily into a better and more fully rounded webhost. In time, it become too large a company to run solo, and Lorelai (an artist hosted on Rydia.net since the beginning) joined the staff as a frontend developer, leaving Dormando more time to perfect the backend.

Rydia.net runs first and foremost by the people who make it go. The core staff is small, but even our customers can contribute to improving the service. We enjoy calling ourselves a webhosting company that listens to its members.
